In geography & palate the whiskies of Bowmore lie between the intense malts of the south shore & the more mellow presentations of the northern end of the island.

The house style of Bowmore, exhibited first by the 12 year old, is of smoke & sea air. The body is light & syrupy & on the palate it presents a sherry sweetness & saltiness with spice & heather. As with all the Bowmores this is a very complex drink that develops as it warms in the glass.
